How often have you heard people say how fast the years are passing by? How often have you heard people complaining about how they wish they could make time stand still? How often have you seen people sit around and do absolutely nothing but complain about how they have nothing to do, that life "is so boring"?
People who know me, know that if I hear them say, "Life is so boring", I turn to them and say, "Life isn't boring, YOU are boring". People spend too much time complaining about what they don't have, what they haven't done. They don't realize the potential they have to create memories. It is like they are counting the number of breaths they are taking before they die!
This is my message for you, instead of counting the number of breaths you take, count the moments in life that take your breath away!!!
What are my moments? That's easy, here are a few:
- The moment I met the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, and she became my wife
- The moment our son was born
- Watching our son graduate
- The moment our son graduated from his sound engineering program and went to Amsterdam to do his interim with a band
- The moment I decided to get back into my motivation business and created this website.
- The special moments I spend with my friends, and they know who they are
- The moments my wife, our son and I spent in Ancient Rome and saw the Coloseum, the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and all the ancient ruins in Rome and how spectacular they are. Especially when I saw the look of awe in my wife's and our son's faces.
- The moment I spent in Paris with my wife and we saw all the sights from the Eiffel Tower to the Cathedral of Notre Dame.
These are just a few of those moments. Now I would like you to get a pen or pencil, some paper, or open your computer to a word program, and list the moments in your life that have taken your breath away. I am confident that you have a few of them. Enjoy.
