I have a question to ask you. How long would you give a child to learn how to walk until you finally gave up on them? Would you simply say to them, "This just isn't working, I think you should give up". Chances are you would give them all the time they needed to be able to take their first steps. My guess is that you would let them take as long as it takes.
I have another question for you. How many chances do you give yourself to do something until you finally give up? One, two, maybe even three chances? Get what I am getting at? What would happen if you gave yourself as many chances as you would that child? Wow, what a concept! You would become unstoppable!
This is what I want you to do. Can you remember a time when you wanted to do something, like lose weight, or fulfill a goal or a dream? And, somewhere along the way you might have thought to yourself, "This just isn't working out the way I wanted it to", and you gave up. What would happen right now, if you decided to pick up where you left off?
Remember a time when you had a dream and it seemed so real that you could actually see youself doing it. Now, close your eyes and see your dream. See yourself actually doing it, see yourself accomplishing it.
Once you see yourself doing it, now feel how good it feels knowing that you are in control, that you are in the driver's seat. Feel the intensity of what it feels like to get this done.
Once you get that feeling, get a pen and paper or get on the computer and start writing how you feel. Start writing how you are going to do this dream of yours. How much weight do you want to lose, how are you going to accomplish this goal of yours? Keep writing, because what you are writing is the beginning of a plan of action. See what you are going to look like at the end result. Feel how you are going to feel at the end result.
Most of all, have faith in yourself. You cannot have true faith in anything until you have faith in yourself.
